Anderson Monument

The Anderson Cenotaph is a variation of the Greek Stele, or upright slab. In this case, the classical motif if reinforced by the frieze of oversize acanthus. Note the mounded grave in front of the cenotaph-evidence of how the cemetery was innovative in its landscape design but would turn a blind eye to some of the "outdated" customs of its lot holders.
